Kasabian mood board wins MP3 competition

Congratulations to Jacqui Towndrow who’s pipped all other entrants to the post and won a Kube MP3 player in the National Design Academy student competition!

It was a unanimous vote from everyone at the NDA that Jacqui’s mood board based on her favorite song “Empire” By Kasabian, due to the “eclectic mix of textures, pattern and accessories which have clearly embraced the lyrics, song style and cleverly tied this in with a prominent Interior Design trend”.

When told that she’d won the competition, National Design Academy student, Jacqui couldn’t believe the news, “Really? I never win anything, thank you!”

Kim beats off competition to win MyDeco prize!

Congratulations to Kimberley Moore, who won MyDeco’s Mother’s Day moodboard competition and scooped a Union Jack DIGITEX  roller blind and wallpaper set!

Kim, who’s a tutor at  the National Design Academy in Nottingham, based her Union Jack themed mood board on the often neglected part of the home, the hallway. She chose a chic and retro “London Vibe” style, that caught the eye of voters and subsequently shot her to the top of the competition.

But, Kim isn’t going to be the only one excited about winning the prize as she plans to re-decorate her nieces bedroom into quirky teen pad  as a surprise.

Well done Kim, we excited to see the finished design!

MyDeco Mother’s Day competitions

I envisaged that it would be a hallway, as I think this space is often neglected but is a place where you can have a bit of fun and be quirky. My niece is currently studying for her GCSE’s so if I win then I would like to give her room a surprise makeover as a treat.”

Interior Designer Karen lane loves restoring old and unused furniture, she often looks for second-hand goods to “up-cycle”. With times of austerity upon us, “up-cycling” is becoming the hottest new way of re-decorating without the huge price tag.
