Design of the day

Depicting hundreds of butterflies, this psychedelic wallpaper is associated with the “electrifying experiences of the 1960’s” and created by non other than the famous Damien Hirst. This piece first appeared at the In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida exhibition at Tate Britain, London in 2004. The butterflies represent the Victorian trend for collecting natural history and escapism. Only 500 rolls were printed and each costs a whopping £700!
