We always enjoy seeing what design delights Anthony Rayworth adds to his ‘Asides’ on the National Design Academy website. Anthony has a wealth of design experience from his 25 years plus in the industry. From his Masters of Design from the Royal College of Art, experience running design galleries and participation in exhibitions throughout Europe, work with BIID (British Institute of Interior Design) and now his Liveryman status of the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers, Anthony is well-regarded and well versed in the Design World. When he isn’t writing course content for the National Design Academy’s new courses, he finds the time to share with the rest of us some little (and sometimes not so ‘little’!) gems.
Today’s is the ‘Lathe Table’ – Designed by Dutch designer Sebastian Brajkovic.
Made from anodised aluminium, Anthony states that it’s “Reminiscent of 17th century ‘treen’ or turned wood, the table would sit very comfortably in either a contemporary or traditional interior”.
We expect this has been stumbled across whilst producing the new Heritage Interior Design degree course – we’re just happy he’s shared it with us!
